Skinny chaps

Hi everyone

First time in here (scared) but long time mnetter

Can anyone recommend some half chaps for my eleven year old dd? She has v skinny calves (about 10.5") but long legs for her age (about 30" inside whole leg)

A lady at our local saddlers recommends that she has adult's chaps but there were none there that fitted - all were too gaping.

Can anyone help by recommending some? Max spend of £35 would be ideal.

You could try Just Chaps, they have quite a range of sizes, and tbh the CL (child large) almost fit me. Ds has only just outgrown his airmesh ones and he's 14.

Sorry what I meant was she might not need the adult ones, then she'd have more choice of the 'pretty' colours and patterns.

Sorry for multiple posts but wanted to say that the Justchaps ones all have an adjustable velcro fastening at the top so you can pull them in quite a bit to make sure they don't gape. I don't have shares in the company honest! It's just that we got ds a pair at Hickstead and have been so pleased with them we will definitely be replacing with the same again (damn these growing teenagers!).

I'll take a look, it is proving difficult to find any that are an adult's length but a skinny child's calf circumference but I'll keep persevering! She only wants plain black or navy so pretty colours not too much of a consideration.

Sorry couldn't get on line earlier. I would have recommended Just Chaps. DD has worn their chaps from age 4 up to now (12 next week). They do great half chaps and we also wear their waterproof over trousers. She currently has the red chaps with the union jack logos and loves them! DD is tall for her age but their chaps fit great - no need to buy adult ones.

Ariat come up tiny. They are very very very expensive, but you might get them second hand on eBay.

Thanks Butkin and Bonzo. I love Ariat - I'd like some of their chaps for myself!

I think I'll call Just Chaps and see what they recommend and failing that go to another local saddler's. I was just hoping to save money by shopping online.
