DD went yesterday.

For the first time in ages, I am sat in bed, with a coffee, on Mumsnet.

This week, I will not be out until 10pm twice, after games training and jumping/flatwork/XC lessons.

Dpony will not be overly happy at being stabled (not an 'in' lady), but will tolerate as she's very good natured and will like variety and working.

Despite thinking we have everything for camp, have spent the last week running round preparing for camp.

DD will be shattered but will have a ball. Smile

So does your camp start on a Saturday? Don't know why I'm surprised by that Confused

Sounds great though. How old is your DD and how long has she being going to camp? My DD really liked the idea of camp - she is only 7 and it would be 'mini' camp but I don't think she (I) am ready for it yet!

Ours is next week, ds is not going this year, but definitely next. I'll still have to accompany him. Hope your dd has an brilliant time.

Yes, junior camp seems like hard work, taking them and pony every day for three days.

This is her second senior camp, she did text last night to say she has her flatwork instructor, who she really likes, that dpony was a saint while jumping in the morning and less of a saint during the XC in the afternoon and that they were both shattered but happy Smile.

She's just turned 13, senior camp is a lot easier!!

Dd is at her second PC camp. Based on the utter unpleasantness of the mini camp coordinator I may be rethinking my decision to send her next year. I come from a hunting, working class background, work in a very unusual and male dominated role and am big enough and hairy enough to stand up for myself. I had always thought talk of a certain kind of pony club mum was complete bunkum, but based on this week's performance by women who should know better I am now not sure. We might just be sticking to the junior hunt club :(

My understanding is that it really does depend on the actual club/branch........which is why we're joining one that is a little further away, but more down to earth....
