dpony2 is a cob x

He is hunter cliipped. we've left his legs

They are starting to look absurd, he looks as though he is wearing flares

I want to trim them. Do you use a guard on the clippers and work from top to bottom??

My horse is shire cross and needs his legs clipped regularly. I've just been clipping his legs in the same way as the rest of him. I'm not sure if that is right or not, but it seems to work. I used scissors on his feathers, and just clipped as normal up his legs.

With my cob we used to trim down the back of his legs and clipped his hoof hair back to the coronet.
