I had my first proper lesson today!

I haven't ridden for twenty years, and the extent of my 'lessons' was working at a stables for two years as a teenager and being plonked on a succession of mad ponies and sent out into the woods, often unaccompanied.

So, I decided to treat myself to proper lessons, spurred on by how well DD does in hers, and I had such a good time today! Apparently I'm not as rusty as I thought, and learning properly from the basics is going to be fantastic. I was completely exhilerated by the end of the 1/2 hour lesson.

I'm going to have a private lesson every fortnight (nearly £30!) and I have just forked out for trousers and boots. Am I going to skint myself soon? I have the bug in a big way. I can't believe how much I enjoyed it, and all we did was walk and trot.

Uh oh. You're now a horse addict. It gets worse and before you know it you'll have your own and smell of Eau de cheval - that's vair expensive you know WinkGrin
