Frankel's first foals: pictures!

The first foal, a colt out of Chrysanthemum, was born at Coolmore Stud in Ireland on 11th January but no pictures have been released.

The second reported foal, a filly out if an as-yet unnamed mare, was born at the National Stud in Newmarket over the weekend.

They've now named the dam as Song - a full-sister to Group 1 winners Quarter Moon and Yesterday. She was purchased by her Bahrainian owner at last Novembers Goffs Breeding Stock Sale carrying this filly for €1million.

well ive ridden her about 10 times in her hayday

A great claim to fame! I'm lucky that I'm in HQ so have been to see Frankel at Banstead several times. I last saw him in November and he looks like a real stallion now, rather than a slightly chubby racehorse

Danedream is reported to have foaled a filly last night. There is a picture doing the rounds on Twitter but some are claiming it is of Danedream herself as a foal and others that it is her daughter.

Another colt was born in the USA a few weeks ago! out of Compelling, a daughter of G1 winner Damson.

As with the others seen so far, he's bay with prominent white facial markings!

frankel have you seen the juddemonte bansted video of midday foaling a foal and first steps!
I got slightly tearful!

I've just seen it Mike I do love the foalings, it's one of the things I miss doing.
