Can anyone suggest a gift from 'Santa' for my boy? I have a share in a 15.2 fat cob and we are happy hackers. Last year I got him a huge jar and filled it with polos. I know I'm being ridiculous but I'm on mat leave and v hormonal Grin

Home made horse treats?

Wolfiefan · 04/12/2013 20:44

Some horsey hi viz?

I've got personalised headcollars for my two. And the dds will make them Xmas puddings - bread rolls hollowed out and filled with sugarbeet and carrots Smile

My old Cob always got guinness mixed in his feed on christmas day :) Mareface is having a new salt lick holder and salt lick and some carrots tied up with baling twine from her roof :)

Thanks all. The Xmas puds sound fab!!! I'm pretty sure he'd go hog wild for the Guinness too Smile I'm being daft I know but I do love Christmas SmileSmile

Dhorse has got a big purple treat ball to play with in his shelter and a sack of herbal treats to go in it. They were selling them for a tenner at Hickstead in the summer so I couldn't resist.

Pixel · 05/12/2013 15:46

Oh yes and they'll all get guinness as usual, even though I joke that dhorse isn't old enough as he's only 8 whereas the other two are 24 and 30 so 'legal' Grin.

Probably a marmite sandwich. Easy, but his treat of choice. Wink

My old pony always got fruit pastilles. He could suck them without chewing .

CMOTDibbler · 05/12/2013 19:13

Dpony is going to get some fruit pastilles, cos he pulls the best faces when chewing them. He had hi vis last year and a new lead rope

Littlebigbum · 06/12/2013 12:21

Ginger Nuts

Scarlettsstars · 06/12/2013 19:30

ooh fruit pastilles. I'd love to see that! Im oddly tempted by this www.equestrianclearance.com/p/christmas/christmas-rug/900900 but its a bit pricey for a jokey present Smile

I hope those polos for the fat cob were sugar free ones Grin.

I like the christmas rug but as you say it's a bit much for the use it would get. Wish we had the photo facility on this board I could show you dshetland in her pink Christmas hat from last year when I was attempting to make a card for her owner and tried to take some pics. Not terribly successful as she kept following me around wondering what I was up to!

Scarlettsstars · 07/12/2013 07:59

Haha! I bet that was cute. Yes sugar free is the way forward here. He looks more like a thelwell pony every year Grin
