Anyone else going to the World Equestrian Games next year?

Have reserved tickets for the three day eventing (would have loved to book for more but DH is going to look after the 3 (non horse loving) boys so can't leave him for too long!) so DD and I are going to have a girlie road trip. Anyone else going?!

Hi Panic, how have you managed to reserve tickets - I've looked at the official website but it looked to me that unless you were part of an organised tour you'd be out of luck!?

We want to go to the eventing as well. We went to WEG at Seville to participate in the endurance and went to the eventing. It was great because all the top riders/horses were there and it was very poorly attended compared to what we're used to (we were the only people - other then officials - watching W F-P over a jump).

Not sure if we'll join a tour group - more likely just try and buy tickets for the days we want if possible.

I just phoned the tour people and asked how to get individual event tickets without the package, and she said I could reserve them and buy them tomorrow when they go on sale.

Thanks Panic - sounds easy so I'll give it a go - as it's happening on our doorstep it would be a shame to miss it!

No worries - just trying to work out where to stay now - I had booked something a bit far away (in Alencon) but hadn't realised the showjumping is in Caen, so need to find something half way between them I think!

Ooooh - just booked my ticket for the dressage - no idea how I'll get there or where I'll stay but there's nine months to sort that out!

Im going and will probably end up going on my own. I will be going for the eventing only. There is a camp site nearby so I will end up there in my tent no doubt! So if there are any other MM'ers up for a glass of vino one evening I would be glad of the company!
