has anyone ever had one out to look at their horse and did they make a difference?

Yes, even though it was a few years ago and they had a slightly different name, it involved energy blocks and 'light touches' to get energy flowing. No it made no difference at all, none that I could see anyway.
Our trainer had something similar done to one of our racehorses recently, he has sudden attacks that seem to be like panic attacks where he just rears and gets a mental block about moving forwards. He's had lots of physio work with equine body workers which helped. The energy therapist and hair analysis people were last resorts, it's made no difference to his behaviour.
