Anyone else struggle to make non-horsey friends?

I do have a few, who I meet up with mostly so my DS gets to be around other babies/toddlers, but even with the baby stuff, we have so much less in common to talk about! I'm not bothered about the latest fashion, or going to the gym, swimming classes (we take him ourselves), or the other (expensive) baby stuff. My horses take up a lot of time and money, so we tend to be more frugal elsewhere! I also find I'm less overprotective and more willing to let him learn about his balance/the world around him than they are. Sometime I wish there was somewhere to meet other horsey mums!

Anyone else feel the same, or am I just odd?!!

Bronya, don't worry when our DS is old enough to join Pony Club (4 or 5) then you'll meet loads of like minded mums! In the meantime are you a member of a Riding Club?

Where are you based? I think there's a lot to be said about pc when your kids are older xx
