Royal Welsh Show on TV

Loving S4C's coverage of the Royal Welsh show. It is on all day with a highlights package at 9.30pm. It has lots of equine (and livestock) classes. It is generally in Welsh but easy to follow and nearly all the interviews with competitors are in English!

Makes me want to enter next year as their coverage is just so good...

What's S4C please?

It is the Welsh language TV Channel. I've watched it on both Sky and Virgin - not sure if it's on Freeview but expect it is..

You can also go on it's website to watch the show. If you're into Welshies - either in hand or ridden - it is great! They have captions so you know what is going on and on Sky you during the day you can press the red button to hear the English language commentary.

Ok, thank you, will see if I can find it. My dsis will love this as her section D came third there when he was a foal. She always has welshies but they are too nutty for me Smile.

Some of them are so grossly overweight though, I can't help it spoiling my enjoyment of the show.

Managed to find the channel eventually but didn't see many horses, just a load of old bullocks Wink.

I agree Tuppence, I think dhorse would do well in cob classes (our vet thinks so too, says he has lovely conformation) but I see these grossly overweight things at Hickstead and think 'no way'. There was one last year was almost square from behind!
