Dfriend has a bit of a problem, as the neighbours dont rag pick. She uses all of her space so cant use a weed killer. She has been trying lots of different things on the dreaded weeds to see what works. The answer is dead simple!
.....

Vinegar!
Seriously, she has been spraying malt vinegar on them. The first year rosettes go brown and crispy within a couple of hours, and within a day or two she is able to rub them with her foot and they just turn to dust! The roots die too!
I am seriously impressed!

Ah we were told salt and vinegar. Perhaps we didn't need the salt after all Confused

Dishwasher salt works quite well too. Just sprinkle some onto the plant and water in. The good thing about vinegar is it doesn't need watering!

Now we need something that gets rid of wild parsnip if anyone has any suggestions! Can't even dig the stuff up like we do the ragwort, it resists all efforts.

Try these suggestions Pixel. You never know.

Creosote is very effective too, and the plant doesnt then grow back the year after.
