My 11 yr old DD has found out about these and is currently begging to be allowed to go to Valley Farm in Suffolk for a residential camp in summer holidays.
Does anybody know anything about Valley Farm? E have had a look online and it does look fun just would like to know if anyone's child had been there and what they thought of it.
Many thanks.

Don't know anything about this one, but I had great fun about that age on riding holidays.
Went to one in wales & one in kent

Thanks, I know she would love it. I think we will have to pay a visit and check it out for ourselves.

I know valley farm, it was one of only a very few riding schools for us to choose from - they used to have camargue horses and other interesting things - never stayed there as is quite local to us, but am sure it would be nice.

Do they do beginners?
Mitchy1nge · 18/04/2013 13:32
I'm sure they do, they always used to.

Thank you Mitchy, it looks really nice and the days seem action packed. I think they take anyone from about 8 upward and any level of experience right upto upper teens.
I am going to go there next weekend and talk to them and see the accommodation etc.

Wanted to say a big 'Thanks' for this thread. DD just got back from Valley Farm and LOVED IT! It was everything it said on the tin and more.

That's good to know. Glad you DD enjoyed her holiday.

One of dd's friends is off there next week - and dd's week at Wellington was a roaring success - she can't wait to go again next year

DD is just brimming with confidence now. I need to know what magic formula they used to get her around the cross country course. This is the child who used to weep with fright before cross poles!
