Here is yet another question....!! pony lying down instable- my friend says thay only do that if they feel safe - is this true -hope so as wd mean she is setling with us i hope .aahh .

I've never heard that one but all of mine used to lie down in their stables so it's a nice thought. I figure if they are nervous they would stay on their feet ready for a quick exit!

Yes I think there is some truth in it, as she wouldn't lie down if she didn't feel comfortable and happy in there. She may also be a bit lazy! Grin

It's true, horses are flight animals so are on their guard all the time to avoid been eaten.

Def truth in it, old horse would never lie down in his box at shows, but within half an hour of being back in his own stable at home would be flat out snoring!
