Lead Rein Loan Pony Required

Hi, I'm looking for a loan pony in the Plymouth/North Cornwall area. It's for my 5 year old daughter so ideally I want something bomb proof and proven. It will be living with another 3 year old where we have about 3 acres of land and two stables. Ideally, I want it to be able to live out but I do have a stable for it, should the weather get really bad. I am an experienced horsewoman, having ridden for many years and had a horse on loan for myself for a period. Thanks for reading, I hope that someone can help me.

Look on preloved and check the 'to rent' section too.Ironic as loads of lead rein ponies near me,but all the 1st ponies,which is what we want,are in the South West.

You know what,I went back and looked,and neither could I? I typed 'to rent' into the search box and it came up with 'xxxxx adverts in pets and livestock' though,Have your tried Horsehunter,Horsedeals,Horsemart and Horsequest,Equineads,or even typing 'pony for loan,Plymouth' into Google?

[Sadly I know all these sites as we've been looking since September.]

Mirage, I found the "to rent" bit today when I looked but I'd already seen all the ad's in the main bit. I think I've managed to look at every site in the short time I've been looking. I've been abit glued to my computer but thanks for the site ideas. Good luck with your hunt!

Ravilious - had a quick look at nfed but seems to be south/south east based and I couldn't seem to find a way to change localities....unless I'm being completely thick?!

I found a lovely loaner for DD's old pony through Preloved, and I also found her current pony there, so it comes highly recommended by me too. I would also get in touch with your local pony club as lots of these ponies are loaned out by word of mouth. Check out saddlery and feed shop windows, and maybe put a wanted ad up?

I think you have to keep checking back too - good ponies go very, very quickly. I had loads of interest in DD's old pony and the first person to see him wanted him. When I bought her new pony I was the first to see him and made an offer on the spot.

Perfect home sought for much-loved pony

I'm looking for a knowledgeable, loving home for our gorgeous 14.1hh grey, Connemara type mare. She's done all PC activities, has competed successfully in Area teams for jumping and dressage and is a fantastic all-rounder. Wonderful nature, easy to do in all respects. Excellent to shoe, box, catch and in traffic. 15 years young.

She's been an amazing mother-daughter share (nervous mum, competitive DD). Genuine reason for sale (through no fault of her own); right home more important than price.

She does sound lovely but hey, too big!! And she'd probably get very bored wandering around on a lead rein. Good luck with finding someone suitable for her.
