is not being helped by the lack of turnout!! The big horse is bouncing, pony bouncing, puppy bouncing!! Fields are wetter than the winter and they can't go out. Queue super fit horses with no where to go as everywhere flooded!! It's a nightmare!! It's also nearly may, theyre usually living out but no I've just ordered more haylege!!

It's crap isn't it! I have ducks swimming on my paddocks! My crew of native beasties live out 24/7 so they need water wings ATM! On the plus side, it's actually NOT raining here today, and it's very windy, and it's drying out quite quickly!

Lucky you!! Yes the ducks loving it!! Went out for a hack between showers and our fields look better than some but I do wish we were on a hill not perfectly flat!! Still it has to stop soon?! My native beast refuses to leave the stable if she hears rain!! She melts apparently and if you do get her out she just stands wanting to come in or waiting for the rain to stop. All the time feeding her to keep weight on. The tb? No shed live out, not eat and still get fat!!

We are on a slope so not too much mud to worry about, just a little bit around the shelter door, but I've been telling the farmer about the leak in the shelter roof for at least a year now (was at the back so propped up bucket was doable), and now it has sprung 3 more so all my bedding is ruined. Most of the horses are going totally bonkers in the wind and there has been lots of frenzied bucking and mad galloping. The other day the big cob in the field next to me charged straight through the fence (on purpose, he was witnessed taking a run-up) and brought his little friends through with him. That was fun!Hmm

It is standing water here too, and the starvation paddock has turned into a mud bath. Bloody weather.

Horrible here too.Dpony is very on her toes due to the wind and rain and jogs up the field when I lead her onto the starvation paddock every morning. The fields are saturated and it is like walking on a sponge.Very fed up with the rain now.

At least yours are getting out!! I put the tb out in our dry area with her field mate today and the two of them are so stupid!! I actually think shell do a tendon or break her leg now if they go out :( the grounds so deep :( it's may next week!!!! I'm fed up of mucking out twice a day!!

It's absolutely foul here too - I'm surprised we haven't all got foot rot. I'm about to try and take dhorse out as it's stopped raining for a bit and as we move house next week it will be my last opportunity to ride here full stop, and ride out for a while too.

Poor DD is desparate to ride but, as I don't like putting a turnout rug back on a wet pony, she has had to content herself with building a 'show jumping' course in our garden and riding various imaginary ponies (some are very wild) around it. Grin
