We brought DDs new yearling home today, what a day!
She is safe and sound in our paddock now, and the old mares are happily putting her in her place! Alfie (our own yearling sec A) Is made up with his new friend, and DD is rather pleased with herself.

I've been there for nearly a year! It's just round the corner from the churchyard.
Your invite still stands. Smile

Ohhh she's adorable! I absolutely LOVE coloured horses! Oh why did DS have to go off riding?! :(

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/04/2012 09:37

She has a white mane and black ears. It's dead cute. Smile

My most "Oh My God I Wish He'd Been Mine" horse I ever knew was coloured. We broke and sold him at the yard I worked at when I left school. I never got over it slight exaggeration but honestly he was SUBLIME

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/04/2012 10:10

We had the same. My friend was selling her, she was gorgeous, but way to expensive for me. The buyers had her vetted and mananged to half the price, but by then, it was to late for me to buy her! That pony was definitely the one who got away! Sad

I could never have bought him anyway - I was 16 on a YTS wages but ohhh.... 15hh, Cob/Arab ish I think, so stocky enough with a bit of bone (no silly spindly legs) but not heavy enough for any feather and with the fine Arab face. Bit quarter-horse-y actually. Stunningly marked Skewbald. Temperament/attitude to die for; broken and riding out within 3 weeks and NOTHING fazed him. Went to a lady who competed Western-style and we got pictures from time to time of him looking breathtaking in Western tack, festooned with red rosettes.

Sigh...

I'll get a coloured youngster one day if it kills me.

Mine was a song. If you fancy giving a gypsy pony a nice life, dragon driving is full of them!

Oh, and MightyNice, if you come and visit, I promise not to talk about going barefoot! Wink
