Broken arm - no riding for 9 weeks

:(
We've only had Dpony for 6 months. I can't even drive myself to the stables, I have to wait for DH to take me. I share pony with DD2, so she is now working with her. After 9 weeks I'm sure she will see her as HER pony rather than ours.

Sorry you broke your arm, how'd it happen?
And then when your arm is out of the cast it may be very weak for a while (how it was last time I broke mine), so expect an extra 1-2 weeks before you feel confident with the reins.
Hope you sort out pony custody, I imagine who pays for her owns her? :)

Oh that's really pants - I'm sorry. Hopefully it will heal quickly and you'll be back in charge soon.

Just be really bossy with dd around the pony; that should make sure she doesn't stakea claim. Smile Hope your arm's not too painful and recovers quickly.

{{sympathy}} I fell off a 13hh new forest, going round a corner at walk, and broke my arm mid Humerus. Then fell over 6 weeks later and rebroke it! (6 months off work as a waitress) I havent really ridden since.
You will be able to do some things, and 9 weeks will fly by. We had shavings beds, so I used to don a glove and muck out with my good hand, into a bucket. Get down there, and do as much as you can. Youll be surprised what you can do.

Sorry. Hope you are on the mend soon
