Oh, so sorry to hear this.

Was he elderly?

Does your ds know anything about death at all? You may have had an opportunity to discuss it thrust upon you. At least (I'm guessing) your poor horse didn't suffer at all.

How awful for you xx
You must be devastated. Thoughts are with you.

HI yes he was old and had a good life. I think he must of have a heart attack as there wasnt a mark on him. I had sort of dissused death with ds because of dogs etc being put down etc. He has now said to me that he is never going to get old because he dosnt want to die, and gone to bed with photos of the horse.

:( How sad for you. Sounds like he was much loved, and had a fabulous life and a peaceful end though.

Sorry to hear this, what a shame. Sad

I'm sorry to hear this, it must be a terrible thing to go out to in the morning. I've got to have my old man pts some time soon, and am dreading it, and did think perhaps it would be nicer for both of us if he went to sleep one night and didn't wake up, but actually I'm not so sure. A horse down is a distressing sight. I'm sure with time your ds's trauma will fade, but it does take some explaining.

Poor you and DS Sad
Please take some comfort though that he had a lovely life

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 21/04/2011 21:59

Oh, bless, at least he went peacefully. think how much worse it would have been if he had been ill and suffered.
