I am looking for a residential riding holiday for dd, she did one last year and really enjoyed it. I am looking for one within approx 150 miles radius from Leeds.

As anyone been on one an would recommend it.

Would Leicestershire do?

Yes, that would be fine

Dc have only been on ponycare day (too young for camp) but enjoyed it. It is just 5 min from the M1. Although in a rural area they haven't really got the space to do proper hacking.

Not sure the following place do camp. DC have been on ponycare days (they even have them in the xmas holidays). They have better hacking "space" to Bradgate park.

My GCs went to ParkView for first ever riding lesson. (aged 4&5) They were both led out on a walk around lanes by one teenager (bored) with earphones in, walking in front of ponies, and she didn't look round once. Neither she nor instructor spoke to GCs once they were on board. Fortunately I'd insisted on accompanying as I was checking it out. We never went back. (was 6 years ago so could have improved)

Dc have only been on ponycare days at Parkview but have both really enjoyed it. I do remember though that on 1 occasion they were taking younger visiting children out while they were leading the pony. I doubt either of them would have talked much to the child riding the pony...( Obviously there was supervising adult as well with the group).
Anyway that session was not really classified as a proper riding lesson. When dc were younger they were taken to a similar session there with their nursery just as a day out during the summer holidays.
