No we're not planning to go to PUK this year. We will be off to Towerlands on Sunday for the BSPS Area 15 show with the M&M FR. Will be his first show of the season (went to Pony Club with him last night!) and building up to the BSPS Winter Champs.

Hope you have a good time at Addington if you go Mitchy - plenty of mud down there I believe!

Good luck, hope you get placed. How did he enjoy pony club? After much research have chosen a branch to join, we're a bit spoilt for choice with the Suffolk, Easton, Waveney Harriers and Mid-Suffolk all overlapping in parts but know more people with Easton. At least dartmoor won't disgrace us.

I'll be mudless in Naples hopefully, otherwise might have gone to cheer on my favourite Shetland stallion. (I predict he will win EVERYTHING!) Except am not a fan of sleeping in lorries when it's this cold!

Pony Club was great - only 3 in ride so we did the same as the others but no jumping. Plenty of cantering including 20m circles and riding the long side which, as a show horse, he isn't used to. Best of all he got to lead the ride which was good practise for him. We had problems last year when, after winning a class, he wouldn't lead out which is embarassing and doesn't do him any good for Championships.

We live in Suffolk country but joined Newmarket and Thurlow PC because that is who I used to hunt with, we have lots of friends there and they have great facilities. We've found going to the racing school in Newmarket a big help to keep them ticking over in the Winter.

We know people in Mid-Suffolk (sounds like a nice club) but don't now Easton. Check what sort of things they do for children of yours age before you commit.

Naples sounds fun and a lot warmer!

That's a good idea about checking activities for age groups, thanks. Naples was freezing but it was nice not to be covered in mud all the time, and really nice to come home and find my mud has all dried up. Hooray!

Are you with EH shufflebum? Do children (members) hunt free?
