Not really riding now, but in yards a bit, but just wanted an opinion on the above and thought that this section was a good place for an honest opinion.

Thinking about buying a pair of boots ,last pair are giving out, need something definately waterproof ,reasonably OK in mud good for yard, chickens, dog walking ,rugby match watching etc.Performance more important than fashion.

REally like the Sherwood canyon but wonder if the suede would be as durable as leather and also how good they are given the price, other option is the toggi canyon or hudson.

Any opinions very welcome

I have just bought a pair of the Toggi Calgary boots and i am very impressed so far.

Links please! I am wanting some of these type of boots and have wondered how well the suede will last, and how waterproof they are.

Not on your list but Ariat Grasmeres, pricey but amazing! Totally waterproof, can ride in them and really toasty warm. Mine are 3 years old and still going strong with heavy daily use. When they give up I will definitely replace them.

I have a selection,

Tuffa country riding for everyday riding in and yeard stuff.. though not deep muddy fields

Toggi canyon for yard stuff when I'm not riding, though have pooped on and ridden in them.

and then various mucker and posh boots etc.

The tuffa are by far the best and most comfortable. The Toggi are comfortable but after a full day feet will ache in them a bit.. never ache in the tuffa one.

..heart wants a pair of dubarry's... head says no way!

I love the look of those Tuffas - I don't like Dubarry boots, I think they are really ugly (I know, I'm the only person in the country who thinks this). But the Tuffas are on my 'to get' list now. Thanks Eve!
