Which Pony Magazine subscription for 7 year old dd?

Dd is 7 and a half and loves riding and everything to do with ponies. She has a lesson two or three times a month and is counting the weeks until she is 8 which is when she will be able to stay at the stables to help out. (the bigger girls take the little ones under their wing and they do anything from poo picking to grooming)

Dd takes all this very seriously and is spending all her time reading up on 'how to groom', 'how to tack up' etc. We have exhausted the horse-care secion in the local library.

I want to get her a subscription to a pony / horse magazine. It has to be age appropriate but contain a good secion on practical advice. Ie not exclusively cartoons and stories. Does such a thing exist??

Thanks

Well I know there is Horse and Pony mag and Pony mag for the youngsters but I haven't looked in them for years, just seen them in the supermarkets. You could nip in Sainsbury's and sneak a look.

My daughter takes Pony magazine. She's 10 and really enjoys the magazine. It seems quite well targeted for young girls.

DD is 9 and likes Pony magazine. It seems to have a good balance of material and recognises that not all the readers will have their own ponies.

Agreed DD (7) buys Pony magazine.

Brilliant, thanks

Will nip to Sainsbury's and take a look - will have to be at a time when she is not with me, which is tricky as I work school hours, hence asking here. It has to be a surprise, you see

Pony mag seems to be the recommended one - thank you

Pony mag definitely. Even I love it and borrow it when DD is finished with it.
