Difficult exit from previous role could ruin new opportunity

I was dismissed from a role during probation,
I was told that during references in the future it would have to be mentioned.
I am working again and was offered a permanent role somewhere else but of course it’s subject to references.
i was honest on my application form and mentioned leaving in difficult circumstances during the interview but i am absolutely terrified that this is now a cloud over my head ruining every opportunity I’ll ever have.

I suffer anxiety anyway which makes this considerably worse and im already imagining the worse case scenario and wanting to just disappear as i couldn’t face anyone and just constantly catastrophising, it’s going to make me ill.

has anyone been here and recovered from this stage?

It may depend on the reason for dismissal and what is written on your reference.
I hope you manage to negotiate this difficult situation. Was there any Union support or involvement?

Why was you dismissed OP?

Have you posted in staff room because it was a teaching role?
Regardless it’s madness not be me a member of a union.
Why were you dismissed?
I failed probation earlier this year (non teaching) and got a new job quickly, no issue with references. I did contact hr at the failed job and requested/ chatted through using them as a reference.
