Totally worth it. If you look at the criteria/ expectations you’re probably doing it already if you’ve been teaching 6+ years. I’ve never understood why anyone wouldn’t want to be paid more!

I’m on UPS3 and it really doesn’t feel that different. The literal only thing in our school that those of us on UPS (about two thirds of us) do extra is get put on the assembly rota!

Yeah I did look, ups2 at least I tick all the boxes for.

Did you have to provide evidence? How straight forward was the process?

Reason I haven't applied before - I was semi thinking of moving schools and didn't want to be overlooked for being too expensive/UPS. Not sure if that is a genuine thing to worry about or not! I've postponed that for now so crossing threshold now feels like the time is right.
