Why do employers need Occupational Health Assessment done on an employee when surely the situation is very obvious?

Ive heard that managers dont like it when an employee uses the word bullying as its easier to get rid of the person who was treated like shit rather than acknowledge thst bullying actually happened.

Not sure what you mean by situation is obvious. I would say the opposite. If you are referred to occ health for stress and anxiety then they may recommend adjustments to work place to help but not everyone who would get referred for stress and anxiety wouldn’t need the same adjustments.
If someone believes they are bullied and report it, it may fall under a protected act.
No company likes to think bullying happens but it does.

IME OH reports are used so that ‘reasonable adjustments’ can be made to accommodate the employee and allow them to fulfil their role safely to the best of their ability at the agreement of the company, and should be reviewed regularly.

The OH report also protects you and the organisation should any incident occur later down the line where questions are raised.

If bullying/harrassment is occurring, I believe an investigation should take place or the individual should at least be questioned, either formally or informally depending on company policy.

You are within your rights to raise grievances against a colleague. Log your anxiety with a GP as you may need this for the future.
