Applying to be an examiner

I've nearly completed an application to be a GCSE examiner for maths for next year, but a bit hesitant about submitting just yet.

I have written a supporting statement to say why I'm interested, that I've been teaching maths in secondary school and college, adding that I'm familiar with the spec, can apply mark scheme when marking mock papers,meet tight deadlines etc

Is there anything else I've missed?

I'm not in it for the money as I am aware how poorly paid it is, but it will definitely be worth it for informing my teaching as we've only been with this board for a year.

Yes don’t over think it that will be fine. no need to mention how long you have been teaching it. All positive statements other things to add want to get deeper understanding of the examining process, reliable and reliable, good communicator, organised at a workload, understand it is a significant commitment on top of a full time job.

I’ve been marking for years and now a senior and it can be a lucrative side line.

a regular wexaminer can get around £1000. You just need to be organised and do 10 papers per day.

I do 2 papers and am Team leader on one.
