Over the last academic year, there has been a push to increase the use of AI within teaching in our workplace, and it is something that really concerns me because of the impact it will have to the purpose of our role.
HR has sent out a survey on how we are using AI where we are and to be honest, as a maths teacher, I am still pretty much old school with my Powerpoints, but I do use a wide variety of maths websites like Maths Genie, Maths Whiteboard, Desmos for graphing etc as ICT within the classroom.
I have used ChatGPT and Co Pilot on occasions when I am creating trackers and marksheets, but of course they are old news now! My colleague rates Canva, so I will look into that, and a friend said they use Claude at work, so again I will have a play with that too, but I only have so much time to test everything!
What have you used that is efficient and reliable in the classroom or for assessment? There is so much out there and I don't know where to start in terms of experimenting because as soon as you start with one thing, new developments emerge already.
Thanks.
