My name is Laurie, I’m an ex-primary school teacher and I’m now completing my doctorate in clinical psychology.

I’m recruiting participants for my doctoral research on neurodiversity and inclusivity in mainstream schools with an aim to better support teachers in future.

If you’re a primary or secondary teacher working with neurodiverse children or young people, I’d love to hear from you.

The inclusion criteria are as follows:

  • Qualified teacher currently working in a primary or secondary mainstream school in England
  • Have worked with a young person who has a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, tic disorders, developmental language disorder, developmental coordination disorder, dyslexia, dyscalculia or intellectual disabilities or that self-identifies as neurodivergent in England (within a classroom setting or otherwise)
  • Fluent in English language
  • Willing and able to provide informed consent for the study

There is a £10 retail voucher on completion of an interview over Microsoft Teams, which should last between 40-60 minutes. I am also happy to provide the completed research study and can provide dissemination to participating schools, if interested.
