Maths teacher moving from England to Northern Ireland

My husband and I are considering moving from SE England to Northern Ireland in the next few years, as that's where my family are. We have 2 young kids in nursery school. Husband is an engineer and I am a secondary maths teacher. Just wondering what the current job market is like in northern Ireland for my position, as I have heard horror stories about trying to find a permanent teaching position. I have about 6 years experience mostly in the independent sector, teach further maths A level, and am head of key stage. Any advice as to how I can put myself in the best position prior to moving? I think we would move first and then I would try to get a job once there, unless the stars aligned and I managed to get one earlier! Also any general advice for our situation would be much appreciated!

There should be jobs available in maths but you might have to sub for a while. Permanent jobs in Grammar Schools are more competitive. You can monitor vacancies online.
