How long to adjust to new year group?

Not a teacher here but a TA.

For those who've moved year group, how long did it take you to feel settled/ confident there?

Had a big move down in September and even though we're now into spring 1, I still feel like I'm still figuring stuff out. It's a lovely class (arguably less challenging than year's) and class teacher is great, so I feel like I should have things nailed by now! Not sure if I'm expecting too much of myself of if I'm just a bit rubbish??

Give yourself a break! I reckon a whole year will get you completely used to the change. Teaching KS2 primary is almost an entirely different job to KS1, but they both have brilliant things about them.
