Toxic school with micromanaging DHT

I am a qualified teacher but have been a TA in the same primary now for a while( 10 plus years) it used to be a lively place to work and I felt valued and competent- I not interested in going back into teaching.
The stress I feel under is intolerable. This is the second year on the bounce that I have been in a very difficult class. The DHT is absolutely toxic and I really think I need to get signed off and look for a completely different type of job. I cannot shake a bug I have had for over three weeks and am just so stressed and run down and feel like I am sliding into depression.
Is or has anyone one else been in those situation? What did you do?

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. The stress and pressure in some schools now is awful.
I’m guessing you need to work a month’s notice. Autumn term can be especially tough.
Why not self certify for a week and see how you feel. Have you been looking to see what else is out there?
You can always go to the GP and go off with stress as you mentioned.
Take care of yourself.
