About the Research
This study aims to explore how Early Years and Key Stage 1 teachers perceive the effects of the transition from Reception to Year 1 on children's creativity. The research has two phases: interviews and a Q sort. You are being invited to take part in the Q sort.
Eligibility: You are eligible if you have taught in an English state school in either Reception or KS1 within the last seven years.
What is a Q Sort?
The Q sort is a research method used to systematically study participants' viewpoints. You will be asked to sort a series of statements online based on your own perspectives and professional opinions.
- The task will take approximately 20 minutes.
- It can be completed at any convenient time.
- You can find more details about Q methodology in the attached flyer.
Confidentiality and Your Data
- You will be prompted to give a unique identifying code at the start of the Q sort. This allows you to withdraw your data if you choose to do so.
- Your responses will remain anonymous, unless you choose to share your identifier.
- With your consent, some anonymised examples may be used in the final thesis.
- All data will be stored securely and destroyed after publication of the thesis.
- You have the right to withdraw your data at any point up until 1st November 2025, without giving a reason.
