Part time - days out on pension

I'm just wondering if I'm missing something obvious before I contact Teachers' Pensions, who aren't the easiest to get in contact with.

I work 0.8 and have done for several years. Is there a reason why Days Out would differ by up to 10 days per academic year on my employment record? Surely I should have done the same every year?

“Days out” would also include strike days and any days of unpaid leave.

There is a Facebook group with teachers' pension advice where you may get a better answer.
