A level results day - who’s going in?

I love A level results day, one of my favourite of the year. I’m not a HOD and didn’t even teach year 13 last year - but I did teach them in year 12 and some of them I taught from year 9 or ran co-curricular activities with them.

I love seeing them plan the next stages and their hard work paying off. And those that don’t get the grades they wanted, being able to support, starting clearing, discussing future plans/ options.

It is wonderful seeing them fully fledge the school and probably see them for the last time.

Anyone else going in?

Yes, first (and possibly last) cohort of A Level Spanish. I taught them on my own in year 13 so have done 80% of the course. We had a lot of fun and I want to see them take their next steps. They were a great bunch of students!

Yes- Year 13 form tutor and had my maths and further maths kids for the past two years (some of them I’ve taught year 7-9 too). I’m excited for them.

edited to add: Core Maths year 12s too!! How exciting!!

I want our school to offer core maths - it reads great but what is it actually like?

Going in definitely

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope

I really rate it. It has definitely supported kids who have not chosen A-level who are doing anything with any data or numerical element.

Yes - I went in - was in at 6am this morning (HT) - only landed back in the UK on Tuesday from holiday!

Makes your job worthwhile and gives you that satisfaction knowing that students have achieved well.
Back on site for a day of analysis tomorrow, and then off for a few days before the GCSE results land!

I went in. I love to be able to congratulate the kids in person.
