Hello,

Would love some recommendations!

Backpack or tote?

I need it to carry laptop, planner, lunch, water bottle and other stuff.

Slightly formal, but highly practical - not leather I think as it would be too heavy.

Any personal recommendations would be appreciated!

And what do you carry with you?

Thanks 🌸

I've had the same superdry tote for years and it fits everything in - https://www.superdry.com/womens/accessories/bags/elaina-tote-bag-63887.html
I don't find it too heavy, I took out the zip insert part.
It's not in stock but maybe the dimensions are useful for your search - Approximate capacity 13.5 litres. H 37cm x L 38cm x D 14cm
I find it easier than a backpack in terms of access.

Thank you for your reply!

That is def useful info - and you make a good point about access actually!

I bought a Kipling superworker bag after a recommendation on the S&B forum here. I love it. It is going into it's 5th year of service, looks as good as new. Holds loads, easy to access and organise and carries weight well. May well be cheaper via Amazon than through kipling direct

Thanks for the recommendation- I have looked at them and they seem great, I wanted something a little bit more formal perhaps? I can’t seem to find one that hits the perfect spot of practical vs looks!

I have a backpack from Popsy and love it.

Will check out the brand, thanks!

I love the look of Herschel backpacks - ideally would like something like that but nylon (with leather straps)

I have several Roka bags, they have lasted well and wash to be like new. Different styles available.

Thank you for the suggestions!

I have seen ROKA and Mia Tui but not quite hitting the spot for me, in terms of what’s in my head!

I do like the vibe of the bellroy (have bought a rather overpriced laptop sleeve as it looked cool and loved the magnetic closure) but they seem compact?

I have been at this for months - it is ridiculous. Partly because I keep swinging from tote to backpack again and again. I like the accessibility of a tote, and the comfort of a backpack.
