Management have announced a restructure with departments joining together to create faculties. Not much has been said, but what is the difference between a HoF and HoD role (assuming that we will still keep the same HoDs who will be managed by new HoFs)

I’m a head of faculty so in charge of several subjects, I link with slt and attend middle leader meetings, I have heads of dept who I link with, and who lead their subjects but under my guidance. HoF is usually paid more than HoD if that helps?
