History teachers…..a question

I’m a primary school teacher, and not a history specialist. We’ve just started using Kapow, not impressed so far with the errors in worksheets, etc. But can anyone explain to me why they refer to the Victorian period as dating from 1819, ie Queen Victoria’s birth, instead of the beginning of her reign please? Is that acceptable?

Honestly that’s just incorrect, whatever Kapow is is wrong. Secondary school history specialist here, the Victorian period starts in 1837.

Thank you! They replied to me and said that their History ‘specialist’ team said that they had included her birth ‘as context’ but would change it if it was an issue. It is and they did. I had 11 year olds calling them out on if, fgs!
