Have an interview for an April start teaching job- but also have a holiday booked which means I won’t be able to work for the last 3 days of Term? Tell during interview?

I have a teaching interview and if I get the job I start in April. However I noticed this school closes 23rd July at 1:30pm however my holiday is booked from the 19th of July. They seem to be desperate for a teacher as a few agencies called me with the same role.

How do I approach this situation.

Yes, you need to tell them at the interview. It's not unreasonable to have a holiday booked then if you didn’t know you were going to be working in a long-term job (rather than odd days of supply). If they really want you they will just have to cope, but if you spring it on them after you start they would be justified in being really annoyed. It’s not that unusual for new employers to have to honour holidays already booked.

Agree with pp. Ive known teschers take holiday that was already booked when they interviewed. You just tell then at interview.
