How easy is it to give up a TLR?

Just that really, took on TLR two years ago. First year, was busy but fine. We recruited for new school year and all looked promising. New member of staff has been incredibly difficult to work with (not just me - others also reporting issues) and SLT reluctant to step in (swamped with bigger whole school issues). Workload has increased significantly trying to ensure new member of staff is on task, and it's unpleasant as they're a know it all. I've got to the point something has to give but I don't want to leave the school. No one obvious to pick up the TLR post (other than difficult member of staff).

It depends on the school. You'll need to speak to the head.
