0.6 teacher PPA & Leadership time

I'm returning to work after maternity leave next month and have had my flexible working request accepted to work 3 days when I return.
I will be paid for my PPA and do this in my own time. As for my leadership time I will have an afternoon once every two weeks to complete my leadership work and I'm happy with this to be honest. The week where it isn't my leadership time I will be covering PPA for another teacher.

I think this sounds really generous? A friend said you are mean to be given leadership time each week? I thought it was just that you were meant to be given an "appropriate amount of time". There's nothing set in stone is there about it leadership time? I know PPA time is 10% but that's all?

Unless I'm wrong?

It all depends what your leadership role is and how much work in entails. To me, one afternoon every two weeks doesn’t sound like a lot.

There’s nothing set in stone for leadership time, as far as I’m aware.
I have friends in other schools who lead subjects like maths and English and don’t get any time at all.
I used to get a full afternoon a week to lead English and mentor ECTs. We haven’t had any ECTs for a couple of years now so my leadership got reduced to an hour a week, but I felt it was a bit rubbish as I couldn’t get much done in an hour, so now I get a full day a half term, which I do quite like!

I'm 0.6 and lead a secondary school subject but one that's only taught in 6th form. I get 1 extra free period per fortnight for leadership.
