Staff fee remission - private schools

Hi there.

For those learning support assistants out there, do you get a discount on fees if you work at a private school?

If so how much?

If I work full time (but term time only) would the discount be prorated?

Of course I understand that all schools are different but would love to hear people's experiences.

Thanks

Hiya, my school offers discount to the children of TAs but not as high as teachers.

The amount is based on how much you work, I believe it used to be higher, but SLT we’re getting a bit tired of muns (and not being sexist but TAs are quite frequent,y mums of children in the school, state and private) applying essentially to get a discount and sadly not really being up for the job.

My school offers up to 30% off for TA / LSA children. 6% for each day of the week worked. So still a descent discount if you work full time. A half day is cut to 3%.

It is up to each individual school how much discount they offer.

Thank you! So if you work full time as a TA (but of course term time only) do you get the full 30% off? Or do they then pro rate that for holidays?
