Great examples of PTA funded purchases?

I'd like to hear what different schools have asked the PTA to fund as I imagine it's easier to raise money when the PTA can say "look we got this!".

I'd be interested to know what purchase or opportunity staff have valued most.

Atlases, whole school trips to the panto, books, iPads…

Contributions towards the Year 11 prom…
Subsidises the cost for the parents..

books for the library, PE equipment, tech equipment…

A new minibus after the new one got stolen! And the PTA turned a corner of the school field into a forest school area. They are invaluable.

Government grants here provide buildings. Airconditioning needs to be parent supplied. That was about ten years worth.

Regrassed the oval after a tick infestation.

More trees.

Retiled 50 year old bathrooms as a covid hygiene measure. That cost a lot of money.

Snazzy internet cameras for whole of class facetiming thingie (I am not techie so don’t ask for more details). Helps with NASA type hookups, sister school stuff etc.

Sound system for the sports hall for broadcast of school assemblies etc.

Fee-paying school but quite heavily subsidised.

Loose parts and big outdoor blocks EYFS
Library books
Running the school pool (expensive!)

Class set of Chromebooks.

Trim trail / play equipment
Library service to come in and sort out the library
Panto plus icecreams
Set of waterproofs plus other equipment for Forest School

Big blocks for EYFS outdoor play - fabulous! Used every day and brilliant play resource. Also library books (which has no budget of its own, IT equipment, lots of other things. I 🩷 our PTA!
