Anyone else praying for a snow day?

I've actually allowed myself to enjoy the Christmas break this year but as a result I'm feeling under prepared for this half term

We have no chance where I am but as much as I am not ready to go back we have an inset tomorrow so I need some prep time as I have completely switched off this half term - I would be in a pickle if I couldn't get into school tomorrow!

Woo hoo snow day for us tomorrow!!

Would do anything for this!
We have an INSET but not in school so it’s going to be a long, boring, useless day with no time in the classroom to get ready for the week.
I’m going to try winging it for once!

We were due to go back today, I had a full day teaching which I was obviously super excited about... got into school and then at 8am they announced it was closed due to flooding
Devastated 🤣

No snow here but when it does and it’s heavy then a closure is announced - as a HT I am usually on site unless I cannot physically get in - but will still WFH. I wouldn’t expect staff to put themselves at risk and come in neither but if they live local they’ll come in for a couple hours. Teachers use it as a perfect opportunity to catch up with admin etc.

Quite a lot of snow where I am but we were open today. It was an INSET day though.

I had a lovely holiday and really took time for friends and family.

That said, I have enjoyed today - lots of time with my department focusing on teaching and learning which is great.

Kids back tomorrow which should be nice.
