Xmas cards and Jehovah's witnesses

I'm writing Xmas cards for my class. One child is a Jehovah's witness and doesn't celebrate. Do I leave him out, or black out the 'merry Christmas' in the card and write a 'happy holiday' card instead? I don't want to exclude or offend!

Oh that's tricky!

Can you give him just a nice card, without any Christmas pictures/message and wish him a good break from school?

I wouldn't want to leave him out but would definitely avoid anything with Christmas connotations.

As Pumpkin Pie said - you could probably get a generic card from Card Factory for less than a quid.

Happy new year card

Find a blank card or one that says seasons greetings and write ".enjoy the break"

I wouldn't spend £1 on a separate card

How old is the child? I have always asked JW children what they would prefer but I teach secondary.
