Any schools interested in UK - Japan penpal exchange?

Hi there,

I'm currently working as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan and would like to establish an international pen pal exchange between my students and those in the UK. I've contacted about 5 schools and no one has responded, so I thought I'd reach out on here!

Nothing is certain yet, participation could range from a few students to an entire year group. If the latter is the case, not to worry! I’m reaching out to several schools, so I can split up the students into smaller numbers.

I work at an agricultural school, for students aged 15-18. Their English reading and writing skills are lower than average, but their reading and writing skills are good. They’re a vibrant and hilarious bunch, I think the students would have a great time connecting with each other.

This would be a fantastic opportunity to foster cultural exchange, and a chance for students to make lasting friendships. I've heard of students both from the UK and Japan doing this in the past, and they look back on it very fondly. One friend of mine kept in contact with her penpal from her teenage years, and finally met her in Japan this year when she moved here, and now they're so close, which I think is so sweet!

If any teachers from UK schools are interested in setting up this exchange with me, please comment below and lets exchange contact details!

Thanks!
Lucia.
