middle aged female teachers and false allegations

Morning
Just wondering if anyone else here has experienced this? I am one of 5 middle aged female teachers in my school that have had more than one false allegation against them. Luckily, in my case they have been so false that they have been immediately provable to be wrong at the most basic level (one was from a girl I haven't taught and had never met) My union have been fantastic - as has our headteacher. I was very worried as the 'no smoke without fire' thing of several false allegations but the union said they have seen a national uptick in this. It has left me feeling very shaky and upset. I would love to have a body camera. I am the most normal average teacher, behaviour is fairly good at my school, there is nothing in my day to day life that would make kids dislike me particularly- it's all pretty average. I know it is likely a mental health thing- as young people are very much struggling in this area, but still its been very horrible to deal with.

I noticed similar too! I have left teaching now but I started at a new last year. There was a group of us, two of us were in our late 40s and the others all in their 20s. Guess which two were treated so badly that they were off by Christmas? Over the last few years of my career I saw the average age of school staff reduce. I’ve openly heard of heads who make no secret of the fact they actively want to get rid of anyone over 50. Then there’s the worrying trend of new teachers coming into schools wanting to be friends with the kids which doesn’t help older teachers who know that’s a load of bollocks! I had several ridiculous allegations last year which shouldn’t have even been acknowledged. One example was me apparently not letting 15 kids go to the toilet at once! Not only did this not happen, nobody questioned the kid who made the allegations about how likely it would be that 15 kids would all ask to go to the toilet at once! Either there’s a very nasty case of the shits going round or if 15 kids really have asked to go to the toilet at once then it’s clearly an attempt to derail the lesson and they should be sanctioned!
