Hi there, does anyone have any tips on how to write a successful letter of application for a teaching role? The form does not give an idea of length - would it be 2 sides of A4?
Thanks

Yes, around 2 sides of A4 are conventional.

Read the person spec and website and work out what they need and hat they are looking for. A school in inner city deprived northern uk town isn't going to look for someone who is going to lead in mandarin classes (I'm being flippant) but what are their "buying buttons" and what are your "USPS"

Something like

Para 1 why you want the job (what attracts you to that school and ethos and how you fit in

Para 2 educational philosophy - make it contemporary and fit the school ethos

Para 3-5 strengths outcome evidence based eg send/ literacy/ exam results/ maths / and how you got this results

6 extra curricu/ whole school offer
