Maternity leave allowances 1999 & 2003

I'm trying to sort my pension out and noticed on my years of service I have days out during my 2 maternity leaves.

I had 6 months with my first son nov 1999 to May 2000, which shows 25 days out on my service history.

I had 7 months with my second son, April -Nov 2003 which is showing 56 days out.

I don't think this is correct as I thought maternity leave was still classed as pensionable service.

Anyone know how many weeks maternity leave were allowed to be pensionable back then?

I'm sure I've read 39 weeks but not sure if this is now.

My 2 schools followed the burgundy book.

I just googled -from TPS

It's pensionable if you earn at least half your normal salary.

How they world that out I have no ideas
