…what does your typical day look like? I ask because I work in one but over time it’s getting harder and harder to do a good job and to me I really need to feel like I am doing well to get job satisfaction. However, I don’t want to jump from the frying pan into the fire, and find that in another school life is even harder.
Specifically, how many hours do you teach each week? What are typical class sizes like? What time do you leave work? Do you work in the evenings at home? Do your classrooms have enough space for monitoring students?

I work in one!

Class size around 10. Rooms very small and hard to move around.

Teach 35 40 minutes lessons per week, one of which is during a lunchtime and one of which is after the normal school day.

Don't all teacher jobs involve some evening work?

This have certainly got a little worse recently as more state school things have moved across which take up time, on top of your usual working day.
