Can a primary school teacher answer my question?

Could or would any Irish primary school teachers be able to answer my question. Or British if it’s similar. I’m just wondering what the difference is between level 2 & level 5 readers. A friend of mines son is just finished senior infants & is struggling and how it was compared was that he was on level 2 readers & the rest of the class were on level 5s. Thank you!

I don't think anyone can help you with that question - if he's struggling, it seems he is at a different reading level to everyone else? I would be very surprised if all the other children were on the same level though...Also, how do you know what level all the other class are on?
I think only his class teacher can shed light on this I'm afraid.
